MUSTAFIZUR Rahman emerged as a shining star in the sky of Bangladesh cricket. With his international debut, the world noticed a thin and lanky lad displaying charismatic craftsmanship all over the ground.
He became the apple of everyone's eye in no time. Picking up five, six and two wickets in a three-match ODI series against India were the hallmarks of his gifted genius. Against South Africa and Pakistan he also gave ample evidence of his talents. On all these occasions he came out with flying colours.
Now, he is going to play in a corporate cricket league in India called IPL which has the highest gathering of sparkling cricket stars of the world. His performance for Sunrisers Hyderabad last year made him the best emerging cricketer of IPL.
For us, a youngster like him should be nurtured and patronised well to see him shine with greater success. Let us pray for a brighter and resplendent career ahead for Mustafizur.
